zu den beiden Datensätzen Versenkung Segler "
Rod el Farag" und Tanker

8. The tanker ENSIS was torpedoed and sunk at 1704 to-day in 35.36 N. 35.33 E. (off Latakiya) and a schooner is reported to have been sunk by a U-Boat at 0100/27 in 33.48 N. 34.15 E.

Allerdings ist wohl nicht richtig, dass ENSIS von U407 versenkt wurde.
MT Ensis survived 3 torpedo attacks (Eric Wiberg):
In February 1944 U-407 under Herbertus Korndörfer caught the Ensis off the coast of Turkey near the Syrian border in the Mediterranean Sea. Once again the ship survived the attack, anchoring off Latakia Syria on the 29th of February (a leap year), for repairs. Ultimately the ship lasted over 21 years, being sent to the knackers, or breakers, in 1958 after an extraordinary career.

Nebenbei, die ENSIS überlebte vorher bereits Angriffe von U46 (6/1941) und U572 (4/1942)... Ein glückliches Schiff?
