Versenkung M3619/Crabeel & Grabeels (Quelle: Gröner/Jung/Maas Bd. VIII, S.307)The sinking would better match with attack of S-4 on 12/0423 or 16/0302. --- Gröner/Jung/Maas may have used ASA-book for the last volume of DDK-series, already, and now I'm moving in a bad circle when I say that M3619 was sunk (by LEMBIT). But, dear Igor, please tell me a better source for the fact that CRABEEL & GRABEELS survived the war.
Es geht um die Angriffe bzw. unterlassenen Angriffe von SC-318M256, escorting a convoy, obviously reported two attacks with two and three torpedoes.1st attack on 29/2044 http://www.historisches-marinearchiv.de/projekte/asa/ausgabe.php?where_value=1244 Rohwer states in ASA-book attack of SC-318 on 29/2257. A-Time does not fit with B-TimeIgor states SC-318 attacked convoy headed with M256, but neither give A-time nor A-position.2nd attack on 30/2320 http://www.historisches-marinearchiv.de/projekte/asa/ausgabe.php?where_value=1245Igor states SC-318 had contact with V-boates in evening, but neither give A-time nor A-position.A-Time 22.57 (given by Rohwer for attack SC-318 of 29.10.) would match with B-Time.Dear Igor, will you please have another look into your documents ?Best regards, Thomas
Igor schreibt:Zitat L-3 gave no report about such attack ... Dear Igor, Rohwer found any claims in coherence with L-3 at exactly 7:38h.Perhaps an attack being broken off in time, or any other observations ?Regards, Thomas
L-3 gave no report about such attack ...
M.3619 sent report to Kubef. Mitte: 0227 in AO9463 detonation. Ein uberlebender des deutsches dampfers TAUNUS (218 BRT) geborgen. This was attack of S-4. This case recorded however on 13.10.44, one day later.I can't remember, what was source of knowing about surviving the war for M.3619. Maybe Miroslav told me. Other side, there no evidence, that she sink.
MM / 22310-22312 / 08.10.1944 / VIVIDattacker´s position 38-00n 26-10e lies SE Chios and does not comply with target position “NW Chios”
