Platon Alexiades:
Hello Miroslav,

There were no attacks on LEIPZIG near Libau on 28 September, only a periscope was sighted and attacked by T.11 in Quadrat AO 9646.
However two torpedo tracks were sighted by T.7 escorting LEIPZIG and EMDEN on 27 September at 1427 in Quadrat AO 6470 and a good A/S contact was attacked with depth-charges (note: EMDEN did not see anything). Both incidents may be bogus.
Was there an attack By M.111 in the Black Sea on 23.09.1941?

Best regards,

Platon

Miroslav:
Hello, Platon!

You are quite right:
27.9.1941:

M-111 - 20.44/23.9.1941 fired a torpedo from surface against unidentified ship (probably, APM T-517 Raikomvod) 10 miles from Sebastopol - 44.10,4 N/33.42,2 E, but missed.

Platon Alexiades:
Hello Miroslav,

Many thanks for the confirmation.

Best wishes,

Platon
