Hi people, any idea on the total number of TBs in KM from 1939-1945? :MLL:

let's count:
11x1906/1911-classes: T107,T108,T110,T111,T139,T151,T155,T156,T157,T158,T196
6x1923-class
6x1924-class
12x1935-class:T1-T12
9x1937-class:T13-T21
15x1939-class:T22-T36
4 ex-Norwegian Sleipner-Class(later converted to torpedo recovery ships)
1 ex-Norwegian "troll"(later converted to steam supply ship)
4 ex-Norweigian coastal TBs, designated by Germans as kustentorpedoboote: KT1,KT2,KT3,KT4
3 ex-French ships: TA9,TA10,TA11
3 ex-Yugoslav/Italian ships: TA32, TA43, TA48
29 ex-Italian ships: TA14,TA15,TA16,TA17,TA18,TA19,TA20,TA21,TA22,TA23,TA24,TA25,TA26,TA27,TA28,
          TA29,TA30,TA31,TA35,TA36,TA37,TA38,TA39,TA40,TA41,TA42,TA44,TA45,TA7(later SG20)

plus 2 more that were sunk between sea trials and formal commissioning:
TA33, sunk during sea trials, not commissioned formally;
TA49, sunk during post-sea trials repair, not commissioned formally.

I am not sure about these:
(1)1906/1911 boats: T123, T153, T185, T190, these were converted to auxiliaries before ww2, whether they were reconverted back to TBs is unknown to me.
(2)Zick, Zack and 8 more small ex-Norwegian coastal boats, again not sure if they ever served as TBs or KTs before joining the kustenschutzflottillen.
(3)TA12, different sources differ on whether it was commissioned or only provided spare parts.
(4)TA34, different sources differ on whether it was commissioned or sunk during Croatian service without starting service with KM.
(5)Unknown Italian torpedo boat captured by Germans on 1943.9 but escaped to southern Italy after overwhelming the German guards onboard. Commissioned by Germans or not?

Any information is welcome :O/Y

IMO you have to delete T139, T151, T155, T156, T157, T158, as they were converted to torpedo recovery boats in 1936

T$ 32, TA 33 and TA 44 were torpedo boats only by German nomination, in reality they were destroyers.

the1906/1911 boats are confusing. on one hand they were officially converted to aux. on the other they were not given TF designation for true torpedofangboote, but retained T designations which indicates torpedoboote. :?

and they were used as escorts now and then, unlike TF boats...

here i mean by german official classification, so former destroyers like ta31 etc.are considered torpedo boats.this time :-)
