M 3809

Hallo. Bei der Arbeit an der 38. Minensuchboot-Flottille fand ich anscheinend ein Foto von einem Boot, dem m 3809, aber ich fand keine weiteren Informationen. Es sieht aus wie ein Trawler und es müssen mehrere gewesen sein, wenn wir den anderen Fotos glauben. Haben Sie eine Vorstellung vom Bootstyp?

Bei dem Foto (oben) handelt es sich wahrscheinlich um einen holländischen Fischlogger.
Größenordnung zwischen Fischkutter (25 bis 50 BRT) und Trawler (zur Zeit des 2. Weltkrieges zwischen 400 und 600 BRT).

M 3809 ist (wie auch M 3803 bis 3809) in Gröner, DDK nicht verzeichnet.

Danke für deine Antwort Thomas. Ja, ich habe gesehen, dass es bis zur 3809 keine Informationen über die 3803 gab. Ist das ein Versehen oder hat es diese Boote nie gegeben?

Ships of this Flottille have no takt. numbers when it was formed. Only from 5.11.40 they became numbers like M.38XX, but there was no ships between 3800 and 3810, there was no 3819, no 3829.

meine Sammlung mit KTB der 38. M-Flottille gibt für 01.07.1943 die Existenz von M 3800, M 3801, M 3803 bei der B-Gruppe an. Die anderen Boote der Gruppe haben die Nummern M 3821 - M 3829.

Es ist seltsam, bei ebay hat der Verkäufer Boot 9 der 38 Minensuchflottille und auf einer M3809 notiert.

Er muss einen Fehler gemacht haben

b) Mein Hinweis sollte nur darauf aufmerksam machen, dass die von igor gemachte Einschränkung so im KTB nicht bestätigt wird. Damit wollte ich hinweisen, dass es evtl. auch mal ein M 3809 gegeben hat - habe aber nicht die ganzen KTBs durchgeschaut, um dies zu bestätigen.

My words was about 1940, when designations M.38XX seen for first time. Interesting that in 1944 in gruppe B again there is no M.3801 and 3802, first number is 3820, and 3800 now in gruppe A.

In the group A, which boat was part of it?

When Flottille was organised, it have 2 groups, I and II. Boats has names like "Logger N", where N=latin number. I group has gruppenfuhrer I - a Fischdampfer, and 8 boats with names Logger 1-3, 7-10 and 15.
At 1.11.40, boats was renumbered. Flottillenfuhrer became M.3800 - she belongs no to any group. It was ex. "Lotsendampfer Nr.16".
Boats in group i think must have numbers according to special order: 381X for A-group, 382X - for B-group, 383X - for C-group. Boat with zero at end was Gruppenfuhrerboot. Order was strong with no exceptions in Nov. 1940, and that why   there was no names like 380X.
So group A consisted at 1.11.40 from M.3810-3818, with 3810 - FD with not known civil name, 3811 - logger Schewingen 13, 3812 - logger Kattwik 31 and so on.
1.7.43 Group A has M.3810, 3811, 3813-3816; `1.10.43 - 3813-3815 and 3828, all on repairs or send to other groups in tactical meaning.
At 1.1.44 group A has 3800 and boats 3851-3856, this day 3853-3856 was on repairs and 3851 and 3852 still with other groups as 3820 and 3830 respectively.
1.11.44 Gropup consist from 3820, 3830, 3854 and 3856. Then looks like there was no groups in 38 Flottille anymore for rest of its time.
