Thanks Darius. I wonder if Peter Schenk has been consulted by the author/editor of the book. Peter if you don't mind my asking, have you contributed to this book in any way ?

Gruss,

Hello

according to Amazon the book will be available after 15 May 2021.

I have several other books out of the then and now series and they are all researched very well. They also have a lot of information, carts, pictures etc.

But we will see -I will buy the book.

All the best

Thanks for your feedback gentlemen ! On the subject of Seelöwe, some time ago I posted some pics of landing exercises at Zoutelande and Breskens here :

Seelöwe

Yes I contributed to this book with a number of photos. It gives a more global account since the start of the war and does not go into much detail. The planned landing zones are described in detail and also the embarkation ports. The cross-channel guns are treated and the role of the Luftwaffe. It is more for the British readers. It is  superbly illustrated and layouted.

Much obliged Peter ! Good to have a rough idea of what to expect from the book. I had already suspected it would be mostly aimed at a British target audience.

Gruss,

Seelöwe

This is correct Arjan. It is mainly for the British readers.

Got my copy yesterday and there doesn't seem to be much new info in it. A large part is not about Seelöwe but about the campaign in the West, the BoB and so on. One chapter is lifted in toto from Collier's Defence of the United Kingdom (Official History, published 1957). I had expected more detailed info about the British defences and plans to resist invasion, but I'm disappointed. Much material appears to be from old issues of AtB Magazine.

Many thanks for your review !
