VAS 228 & VAS 232 seized in Portoferraio on 17/9/1943

Hello,

I hope somebody from our experts for Regia Marina will be able to help me with my question related to antisubmarine vessels VAS 228 & VAS 232. They were seized in Portoferraio by Germans on 17/9/1943. How they reached Portoferraio and when? Maybe they came together with MAS 551(II) from Lerici or with VAS 209 and VAS 217 from Imperia? MAS 551(II), VAS 209 and VAS 217 were also seized by Germans on 17/9/1943. Why these units didn't follow other units which left Portoferraio on 11/9/1943 for Palermo? I guess their machines were damaged like in case of torpedo boats Impavido and Ardito, which were also seized by Germans in Portoferraio on 17/9/1943. Are there any further details about these very interesting events which happened here in September 1943?
