Dear Axel,

An outside possibility is an attack by MTBs which I am unaware of. But besides the attack on U 637 on 26 April, there is - so far - no evidence of another attack. Unfortunately records of this period are not complete so it is difficult to have a clear picture of what was going on.

But when the "attack" was observed only by listening gear, wouldn't the fast running engine noises of MTBs clearly have been identified as well?
