Who captured the MZ-703, -709 and -749.

Hi,
Colleagues,
Please help me find out how the Germans captured Italian MZ-703, -709 and -749, as well as VAS-235, -238 and -305 from Livorno on 9/9/1943.

Hi cam,

VAS 234 and 235 leave La Spezia around 12.00 on 9.9.43, intercepted at Isola di Gorgona at 14.00 by 2 german E-Boats, go into a fight to the end of ammunition, VAS 234 was sunk, VAS 235 was captured

VAS 238, 239 and 305 leave La Spezia around 12.00 on 9.9.43 to move to Portoferraio, near Livorno they  were intercepted by 5 german E-Boats, captured, moved to Livorno

As I understand it, VAS 238, 239 and 305 surrendered without resistance.

habe hier in einer alten Liste:

I LC   Mz 703      42     220 B D/CM POmmern etc   v. Livorno
I LC   Mz 709      42     220 B D/CM POmmern etc   v. Livorno   
I LC   Mz 749      43     220 B D/CM Pommern etc   v. Livorno   
I LC    Mz 754      43     220 B D/Cm Pommern etc   v. Livorno

Da Übernahme in dr 2. Landungsflottille, Reparaturmeldungen auch aus Livorno stammen soll das wohl richtig sein.

Dass deutsche S-Boote die VAS kaperten,  glaube ich nicht ohne weiteres.
Urs ist aber bis zum 15.2. verreist. Ich werde ihn fragen.

Sollte man auch nicht, ist halt der derzeit amtliche Text. So wie fast jedes deutsche Ruderboot mit Fahrradmotorhilfsaußenborder ein E-Boat war, so wurde fast jeder deutsche Pilot von einer Spitfire abgeschossen, auch wenn's nur eine kartoffelwerfende Tiger Moth war.

Danke Theo für den Hinweis auf die POMMERN. Im Datensatz Mz 703 steht nur "deutsche Fahrzeuge". --- Danke cam für den Hinweis auf R-Boote.

It would be interesting to know how German sailors captured the port of Livorno together with Italian ships in it. On 9 September German ships and R-boats intercepted many Italian ships from there, escaping to the south.

Wenn mir jemand eine in Frage kommende R-Flottille nennen kann, kann ich KTBs wälzen (falls vorhanden).
