Moin Freunde,

auch mir war die Problematik so nicht bewußt. Wer da viel Arbeit reingesteckt hat, sollte natürlich auch namentlich erwähnt werden. Für diejenigen, die sich für den Süd- und Südostraum während des 2. Weltkrieges interessieren, ist diese Liste unerläßlich!
Sofern unsere italienischen Freunde sich für den Verbleib der Hilfsfahrzeuge im deutschen Machtbereich interessieren, können wir da gerne aushelfen. Ich denke, es gibt da so einiges was wir beisteuern könnten.

Hello Thorsten....difficult to say, or we give all names of the person that partecipated in this research or we don't give any name....this is my thought, but I don't want to pressure on it.
I did all my researches directly in Ufficio Storico della Marina Militare in Rome for many years now, I have a more or less complete list, there are really few names missing.
As I'm a part of AIDMEN, I made the deal that every year we publish a letter (this year will be the V) in the Association bullettin. After the publication all the info will be shared with all the naval appasionates.

In the recent years we published also the letters C, T, H, I that I can give without any problems.

Hello Marco!

I followed the suggestion of TW and named the subforum and all topics in it "Italienische Hilfsschiffe" (= italian Auxiliaries). That matches perfect with your second suggestion: no names, simply the topic.

Concerning the publications: That would be very kind. Shall we attach them to the topics here?

As you can see, Thomas and Thorsten, Marco fully  deserved the great esteem in which our late, lamented friend Giorgio Spazzapan (who passed away on 3 January last) held him. Giorgio was very probably the greatest Italian expert on merchant navies; of Marco one can say that he is one of the greatest knowledgeable persons alive on the Italian Navy.  A solid point of reference in a  rather controversial arena (to use but an euphemism), that of naval history,  in my country...

ich hatte die Akte DEFE 3/860 die Tage zur Hand, und habe hier paar Ergänzungen zu den von TW so schön bereitgestellten Excel-Tabellen:

Meldung vom 26.02.1943:
1. AS 21 - SATTA - nicht SALTA?,
2. AS 92 - ELVIRA - nicht ELENA --> in Meldung vom 19.02.1943 dann doch AS 92 - ELENA,

Meldung vom 24.02.1943:
3. B 604 - TETI - wird als M/S angegeben,
4. B 344 - SAN ANTONIO - wir auch als M/S angegeben.

Meldung vom 18.02.1943:

--> beide sollen wohl von Toulon nach Ville Franche geschleppt werden.
