about the sinking of these ships are not written, although the battle with the destruction of the ship "Hydra" is described.
The British do not write about drowning with the "Hydra" M 4624.

Hi, cam.
Following Reynolds, the 52nd MTB Flotilla attacked with MTB 673 a Task Force near Jersey, sinking a Trawler and damaging an M-Boat (Dog Boats, page 164). Unfortunately I did not note if Reynolds mentioned MTB 673 together with other boats, or lonely. The info about M 4620 was cited from Rohwer/Hümmelchen (and seems to be wrong; thank you, Hans).

Concerning the loss of M 4624, Reynolds told about the attack of the 1st Division of the 14th MTB flotilla with 250, 249, and 251 on 23./24.06.1944 against a convoy of 2 coaster, 1 trawler, and 1 tug off Cherbourg (Home Waters, page 139) This attack was combined with the loss of M 4624.

I am puzzled about my own notes concerning Hydra:
Reynolds claimed a successful attack of the 2nd Divsion of the 14th MTB Flotille with 254,255,257 on 23./24.06.1944  off Cherbourg, but I noted: "Dog Boat sank coastal steamer" (Home Waters, page 139)
Rohwer combined this attack with the loss of "Hydra", maybe I was under influence of Rohwer's interpretation when I wrote "dog boat". Unfortunately, I cannot look into the book again, as it was lent from State Library, Munich. However in "Dog Boats", Reynolds does not mention any dog boat sinking a coaster on 23./24. June.

Best regards
Thomas

Lieber Thorsten,
Kannst Du in demselben KTB MGK West auch noch beim 26./27.Juni schauen. Ich würde gerne wissen, ob dort irgendein Gefecht mit englischen Schnellbooten verzeichnet ist.
Herzlichen Dank, Thomas

Thorsten,
In my third book reference Germany at War: 400 Years of Military History,  it is written that V 210 and V 208 were sunk, when they defended the tug Minotaur on the night of 3/4 July.
Was their damage on the night of June 26/27 so insignificant?
