Hallo,
St-176-Ks is the standard "name" for a convoy in Norway, as given by Seekommandant. All the harbours has a prefix of 2 or 3 letters, and the convoys have serial numbers. On highter command level you can find the convoy "named" after the vessel of the convoy CO. The CO for St-176-Ks was on the M 2.

The name is then convoy number 176 from Stavanger (that year), and this one was bound for Kristiansand.

WÖRTH was struck at 1312, and SCHWABENLAND 1313.

Thomas

Hallo,
The counter attack was conducted by UJ 1104, M 2 and M 446. Both minesweepers dropped 'Schreckbomben', and then destroyed the target for UJ 1104 (didn't drop any depth charges). The minesweepers returned shortly after to the convoy, while UJ 1101 and UJ 1104 continued the hunt for some time. A He111 aircraft dropped a bomb against a possible submarine target later the day, but the UJ's didn't manage to find the submarine. UJ 1104 had an echo before M 2 dropped her depth charges.
