Hallo,
hat jemand "Søkrig i danske farvande under anden verdenskrig¤1943 til 1945 -" ? http://www.arnoldbusck.dk/boeger/historie-mytologi/soekrig-i-danske-farvande-under-anden-verdenskrigrapporter-og-beretninger
Ich konnte nur kurz S.343 kopieren
unter dem gleichen Verlustort wie Kanonenbot K1 "Kattegat sydost for Helgenaes" , steht "Tysk Minestryer M 301"   Tysk fragtskib M/S "Wolfgang L.M. Russs (3000t)

Die insel Årø, liegt m.E weiter weg von der Halbinsel Helgenaes,

Es wäre interessant, die Abweichungen zu klären

Grüsse

Great pics Carsten!
As to K.1, i have made a little research about ship for my article about K.1/2/3. Alas my docs for K.1 ended in 03.43. Many data about ship's activity in 1944 i found in KTB SK Kirkenes, Admiral Polarkuste and MOK Norwegen. Trace was lost for half of june and july-end of october, when K.1 returned in Finnmark, possibly after repair. Then it served in 1 KSV and 2 KSV (from 23.11.44). There is almost nothing in KTB MOK Norwegen about K.1 in end of 1944 (only 1 record). Some events described in ULTRA-docs, but not many.

Thanks, Beate.
According to Chronik des Seekrieges:
"Aus einem Konvoi mit drei Handelsschiffen, einem M-Boot, einem ex-ndl. K-Boot und zwei Vorpostenbooten werden in der Flensburger Förde (lt. Caffé: bei Aarhus) der Frachter Wolfgang L.M. Russ (3750 BRT) versenkt, Günther Russ (998 BRT) und die dänische Angamos (3540 BRT) beschädigt."
This would fit better for "the same convoy", for the first of the two merchant vessels looks like "Wolfgang L.-M Russ" and second might well be the "Angamos", but certainly not a Chilean vessel at this time, even if she might have been ordered for Chile.
But if so the first pictures don't show "K 1".

kgvm

Some more details about the "Angamos" and two pictures - might well be the second freighter:

So we have photo of K.3, not K.1 here!
I've take look at pics for second time. Indeed, look at range finder atop of bridge. It's square. K.1 has round RF!

This photo too little to see details. Pics on previous page (P1010124 and P1010130) shows K.3 with square RF on bridge.
If scematic picture of attack is correct, steamers must be to left from gunboat. We see them to right. One more proof that this is K.3

kgvm

Delmenhorst, on which reports the schematic picture is based?

Delmenhorst

The drawing comes from AIR 15/476 but most of the photographs comes from Sir Foxley-Norris, who I met about 20-25 years ago.

kgvm

So the identifications of the ships in the drawing are guesses only? Yours?

Delmenhorst

No that was a drawing made a the German convoy officer after the battle.
