Kriegstagebuch Troßschiff ERMLAND

Reise vom 25.12.1940 – 04.01.1941  Bremerhaven – Brest

Kpt. Krapold ist dann wohl
Krapohl,Franz gemeint https://www.historisches-marinearchiv.de/projekte/crewlisten/ww2/ausgabe.php?where_value=30361&lang_cl=1

No lilies on an ocean wave
The only tribute is the seagull's sweeps

Screenshot-Text

Translation
From point M9, proceeding at max. revs, we steered to point N(32), Chaussee de Sein whistling buoy,  and were, at 0924 h, with clear view and under moderate clouds, attacked fiercely and several times by a Bristol Blenheim. We were able to distract the aircraft by our defence so much that the three bombs dropped missed their target.
At 1012 h we passed Chaussee de Sein whistling buoy and terminated our ocean voyage at 11 h 2,5 nm south of Les Pierres Noires. At 1112 Uhr we were abeam of Basse Royal isophase buoy and got escort from a position abeam of La Parquette LH, which brought us through the Goulet de Brest.
At a short distance before the entrance the harbour commander, Korv.Kapt. Kaehlert, came aboard together with the pilot. I got my instruction and took the ship into the harbour where she was moored to buoy A at 1300 h.

Meine eigenen Anmerkungen
Hl-Tn = Heultonne / whistling buoy
Gl-Tn = Gleichtakt-Tonne / isophase buoy
Lt. = Leuchtturm / Lighthouse

Gruß, Urs

Many thanks Urs.
