Hi,

The 3 S-SchulFtl S 122 with the Berlin S radar was later taken over by the danish navy.

Here we have her in Köpenhamn, without the radar. A typ S 38b boat.

Ich glaube daß wir zum Schluß, gekommen sind, daß es wohl doch Verrat war, obwohl alle damit nicht so richtig einverstanden waren, weil die Jungs nicht mehr nach Kurland gehen wollten und Sabpotageakten verübten. Das man aus ihnen Antifaschisten und Helden machte ist eine ganz andere Sache. Die anderen Marinen hätten in solchen Fällen auch so gehandelt. Wüßte jemand mehr, ob es dort der Fall war?

The US navy did not excecute anyone during WW2 but they still have the right to do so in case of a mutiny.

The British banned wartime excecutions in 1998. They excecuted three comonwelth soliders for the Cocos Island mutiny in 1942.

ein gutes Beispiel dafür, daß Boote mit Nummern, die höher als "100" waren (d.h. die Schlichting-Boote ab "S 101") zuerst keine Kalottenbrücke hatten (standardmäßig erst ab "S 127") und diese erst nachträglich oder gar nicht erhielten, also nicht zum Typ "S 100" zu rechnen sind.

The soliders were from Sirlanka and they tryed to take over the Island. It faild and the British captured them.

Did the S 127 go directly from 8 S-Ftl to 5 S-Ftl in Aug 1944. It was said that she was with 3 S-SchulFtl when she did the radar test in Nov 1944 together with S 122.

Nein, S 127 war 15.8.44 - 1.9.44 mit KL Hemmer als Kdt. in der 6. Flottille, danach ab 15.9.44 bei der 3. Schulflottille.

Ich habe keine Verbindung zwischen S 127 und der 2. Schulflottille.

The 2 S-SchulFtl was my misstake. I have corrected it to 5 S-Ftl. Commander Ahrens in Jan 1945.

Yes, it is all in your list . There is another 8 S-Ftl boat where I would like to know the commander. "DirK" in Ostende 1944, typ S 38b.

It is probebly one of S 64, S 65, S 68, S 69, S 85, S 93 or S 117.

The 8 S-Ftl used the initials of the first name on the Kalotte. Could the comander be Dirk XXX something? Or did they use Dirk as the dutch version of Diedrich becuse they were in Belgium/Holland?
