In the Australian national archives there are German sailors captured 28.11.1942 and landed in Australia POW camps. but they do not say the name of the ship.
can anyone please help.

That was the crew of the German blockade runner Ramses (7983 grt), scuttled by own crew on Nov 28, 1942, in the Indian Ocean west of Australia in approximate position 23.30 S 99.20 E after cruisers Adelaide (RAN) and Jacob van Heemskerck (RNLN), serving as Oceanic escorts for an Allied convoy, had approached, fired on and hit the ship.
