Kein Feindboot gemeldet. ...

Hi Thomas,
I saw the entry and discussion about an attempt to ram a German submarine on 6 July 1942.
I have attached a page from Trident's patrol report to this mail.
One can conclude that the time is not correct: 0926 hours and not 1925 hours
Two uboats were sighted, not one. The closest distance was 2300 yards and not 100 meters
There was no attempt to ram. The CO of TRIDENT at this time was Lt. A.R. Hezlet, DSC, RN

According to M. Morozov, 11.7.41 in 13.58 (moscow time) U.144 was seen from M-97, but chance to attack was missed. Some hours later this sub was attacked by U 144, but missed (reported 19.15). 14.7.41 in 03.15 U.144 was discovered by M-97 one more time, but there was no opportunity to attack.
10.7.41 in 04.13 U.144 was seen from M-103, but both subs submerged away without attack. 12.7.41 same sub in same area hored screwnoise, but didn't see anything.
