Ähnlichkeiten mit NIX sind nicht zu übersehen,

AvM

Alun Albert D'Orley, ‎D'Orley Alun Albert - 1968

A sister ship for the 'Manchester' had been ordered earlier on in 1849. She was named 'Sheffield', was smaller than the 'Manchester' , and cost L5,520. The builder was H.E.Smith of Gainsborough and the engines were supplied by J & G Rennie. After trials, which were considered satisfactory, it was decided that 'Sheffield' should be lengthened by 17 feet, and delivery was not made until 1850. In November 1853, the Government Surveyors decided that the . 'Queen' and the 'Prince of Wales' were no longer fit for the carriage of passengers, so the M.S. & L. had to hire the 'Petrel' from the Watermans Company to keep the service going ..
......
Both 'Manchester' and the 'Sheffield' proved unsuccessful in the operation of the New Hollan Ferry. These iron paddle steamers proved to be difficult to manage and were involved in several collisions. They continued to give constant trouble, and in August 1854, the M.S. & L. bought two smaller iron paddle steamers from M. Samuelson and Company, of Hull, at a cost of £6,725 each. They were former Clyde Steam Packets, and were named 'Manchester' and 'Sheffield', replacing their namesakes on the Humber Ferry in 1855.

MANCHESTER war klassifiziert als Riverione steamer (=Binnenschiff)
so ist in 1858 in Verzeichnis von Dampfschiffen die im Hull sine beheimatet und so in "Liverpool registry 1874/75"
