Regarding the following last entry in the story of ACROPOLIS at http://www.historisches-marinearchiv.de/projekte/verluste_griechenland/ausgabe.php?lang=1&rubrik=%&where_value=256
Kriegsmarine abgewrackt [A].

ACROPOLIS was salvaged in June 1941, with the salvage operations depicted in attachment 1 (source e-bay)
It is true that following her salvage the German authorities marked that she would be scrapped at Perama (attachment 2)
However, in the archives of the Greek Wreck Salvage Organisation (O.A.N.) it is stated that the wreck of ACROPOLIS was taken to Kanakia Bay in south Salamis where she was used for target practice.
The wreck was totally destroyed and what was left of her was scrapped postwar on the spot.

More photos of the ship can be found at http://www.nautilia.gr/forum/showthread.php?103665-%C1%EA%F1%FC%F0%EF%EB%E9%F2-(2)-Polyanthus-Colima-Acropolis
